To qualify for this prestigious award, nominees must rank in the top five percent of their junior class and be enrolled in a college preparatory curriculum. Established in 1959, the Certificate of Merit program, through the University of Georgia and the Georgia State Department of Education, honors high school juniors across the state of Georgia. It has been the tradition at Phoenix High School to honor these students with a luncheon with the principal. |

Students interested in applying for the College Dual Enrollment Program for the upcoming school year should make an appointment with Ms. Jones in the Counseling Office. To qualify for this program, a student must have at least a 3.0 academic grade point average and should register for the May SAT.
Graduating seniors can apply for the Robert Campbell Scholarship. Students must have attended Phoenix full time for a minimum of one year to be eligible. The application is available online. Applications for the Fall graduation will be accepted during the 1st and 2nd mini and due in December. Applications for the Spring graduation will be accepted during the 3rd and 4th mini and due in May.
Now is the time to think about applying for college, scholarships and financial aid. Several events are being held in the metro area to assist you in this process. Check out the Career Center bulletin board in the Commons Area and the Career Center page on this site.
Gwinnett County Public Schools’ Parent Portal offers parents and guardians online, timely, and secure access to their child’s grades and attendance. It also includes details on your child’s discipline record and test history. In a nutshell, the Parent Portal is an easy-to-use communication tool that will allow you to take an even more active role in your child’s education. This will be available beginning in January; however, parents must come to Phoenix in person to register for access. Please contact the school at 770-513-6862 for more information.
