Phoenix High School students won 29 awards at the International Student Media Festival (ISMF) in Louisville, Kentucky on October 30, 2009, including six judges' favorites. The Phoenix students were winners in the Gwinnett Media Festival and the Georgia Media Festival. These competitions qualified the students to enter their projects in the ISMF competition. Seven Phoenix projects won at all three levels. The remaining 22 winners were in the single photography category, which only exists at the International level. On November 19, 2009, there will be an awards ceremony at Phoenix HS where the ISMF winners will receive their trophies and certificates to celebrate their fantastic work.
