You may review the specific items required to complete your application file through the "MyChecklist" feature on the Careers homepage. The "checklist" will be added to your application following a review by the Applications Center. Your application file is considered complete when all “checklist” items are received by the Applications Center. A Checklist status of "Completed" indicates the item has been received and accepted. Checklists vary by the type of position. In order to complete the application process the following will also be required:
CERTIFIED POSITIONS (Jobs requiring professional educator certification-Teacher, Counselor, etc.)

- One supervisory reference from current principal or program manager [downloadable form below];
- College transcript(s). Transcripts printed from the Internet cannot be accepted;
- Georgia Educator Certificate or out-of-state certificate/license;
- Content Assessment (GACE Assessment; Praxis II (prior to September 1, 2006); content assessment required for out-of-state certificate/license);
- Basic skills assessment or exemption (required as part of Georgia approved preparation program entrance requirements). Candidates are exempt from this requirement if they have earned and can produce Qualifying Scores as follows:
SAT: 1000 GRE: 1030 ACT: 43

- NOTE: Current GCPS employees are not required to resubmit transcripts, certificates and test scores.
CLASSIFIED POSITIONS (Jobs not requiring professional educator certification-Bus Driver, School Food Nutrition, Custodian, etc.)

- One professional reference from current supervisor [downloadable form below];
- College transcripts (if required for position). Paraprofessional applicants must submit a copy of one of the following: college transcript(s) verifying a minimum of 90 quarter hours or 60 semester hours (approx. 2 years) or a passing score on the ETS Parapro Assessment (prior to March 1, 2007) or the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment (available beginning November 2006); Transcripts printed from the Internet cannot be accepted;
- High School Diploma/GED (if required for position);
- Copy of Driver’s License/CDL (if required for position);
- Recommendation Form for School Nutrition Program Manager and Assistant Manager (downloadable form below).
- NOTE: Current GCPS employees are not required to resubmit transcripts, certificates and test scores.
SUBSTITUTE (Teacher, Paraprofessional, Custodial, etc.)

- One professional reference from current supervisor [downloadable form below];
- Copy of college transcripts (if required for position). Applicants for Substitute Teacher must submit a copy of one of the following: valid or expired professional teaching certificate or a transcript verifying the completion of at least a bachelor's degree at an accredited institution of higher learning and passing scores for both sections of the GACE Content Assessment. Copies of transcripts from each college/university attended are required. Transcripts printed from the Internet cannot be accepted.
- Georgia Educator Certificate or out-of-state certificate/license (if held).
SCHOOL LEADERSHIP (Principal/Assistant Principal)

- Georgia Educator Certificate at Level 5 or higher in Educational Leadership or comparable certificate from out-of-state;
- School Leadership Information Form;
- Resume;
- School Leadership Reference Form; Applicants for Principal and Assistant Principal must submit a School Leadership Reference Form completed by their current or most recent Principal/Supervisor;
